Our story · Kate, founder

Living in pain was my daily routine.

I have diabetes and wide calves. My doctor told me to wear compression socks every day, and my legs and ankles swelled up by afternoon without them.

Every pair I tried either slid down by lunch or strangled my legs. Some took ten minutes to wrestle on. The ones that did go on left a red ring around my calf. My sock drawer filled up with socks I couldn't wear.

So I started making my own. For months I sent samples to friends with the same problem — wide calves, swelling, sensitive skin — and changed what they told me to change. Softer bamboo. A wider top band that doesn't dig in. Sizes up to 28 inches.

When my friends kept wearing them all day, we launched Comfyso. Every pair is made for the women I sent those samples to.
